  This concert takes place on St Andrew’s Day.   St Andrew is honoured by all the Christian churches, and is the patron saint of Scotland, and one of Russia’s patron saints – the protector in particular of the Russian navy.   The concert programme contains sacred music celebrating St Andrew as well as music by some of Russia’s classic composers – Tchaikovsky and Taneyev – and Russian folksongs.

We would like to invite you to the Degree Show of the GRAMNET Collaborative Masters Dissertation Pilot Project! The 2011 collaborative dissertation projects were developed at the University of Glasgow by the Glasgow Refugee Asylum Migration Network (GRAMNet) and Central and East European Studies based on the research needs and proposals from a range of public and third sector organisations. These topics were then matched with six masters students studying on the MSc in Russian and on the MSc in Equalities and Human Rights, both of which were administered through the School of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Glasgow.

  International Masters in Russian, Central and East European Studies (IMRCEES) offers Erasmus Mundus scholarships - but the programme is also open to self-funding students.

Finding Our Feet is a new project supporting Third Country National (TCN) women living in the West of Scotland. The aim of the project to make positive changes to international women by supporting their integration, settlement and participation in local communities. The Project is run by West of Scotland Regional Equality Council and supported by the European Integration Fund for Third Country Nationals as well as by The Scottish Government. Finding Our Feet is funded to work with women who have come to settle in the UK within the last 10 years, from outwith the European Economic Area, and who have not arrived as asylum seekers or Refugees.   The project includes the following  programme of activities and events to support women to work together to increase their knowledge, skills, confidence and opportunities:
