On 25th of February in Police Training and Recruitment Centre in East Kilbride there was a meeting between members of Police Scotland diversity recruiting team and a representative of Russian Centre in Scotland  Haven.   Police Scotland is currently recruiting both police officers and special constables into the organization.  Police Scotland is particularly keen to encourage applications from under-represented members from our communities. In their current recruitment campaign, they are looking to engage with potential applicants from all ethnic minorities and a variety of different backgrounds in an effort to be more representative of the diverse communities that they police.   Police delegates expressed their interest in relations between Police Scotland and the Russian-speaking community. Particularly, police representatives indicated their willingness to take part in events of the Russian-speaking community in order to build trustworthy relationship.

Healthy living is more than simple daily habits – it's a lifestyle! An unhealthy habit is easy to develop and hard to live with; a healthy habit is harder to develop but easier to live with. Would you like to know how to encourage children to eat fruit and vegetables? What are healthy alternatives to snacking? How do you maintain a healthy lifestyle without breaking the bank?   Funded by Healthier Scotland Engagement Fund, we have invited an expert from the University of Glasgow to speak about her research into healthy food.   Join our Healthy Event, which takes place in Adelphi center (12 Commercial road, G5 0PQ) on the 13th of February at 1pm.

Our centre did workshops and ran a marketplace stall at the Glasgow Business Brunch on 13th January, 2016 in the University of Strathclyde organized by Scotland's National Centre for Languages. The event was organized for about 20 Glasgow schools. The stall went down a storm with the pupils! Natalya Krisanova's workshops were also very well received by the pupils and the teachers. They were so inspired by the talks about Russia, the Russian Language and Russian famous people that in the end of each workshop they were eager to learn Cyrillic and even wrote their names by themselves! The most amazing and admirable part was that they did that correctly! The most active pupils got little cute matryoshkas together with the first knowledge and inspiration to learn Russian.
