The Russian Centre Haven by support Glasgow City Council and SRF has begun a Russian club in 2 primary schools.
Our teacher Natalya Krisanov helps the children to be introduced to the Russian language and the Russian culture.
After a couple of sessions, pupils can already do some reading and writing, in Russian. Different interesting activities: games, magnetic darts (to learn numbers), watching Russian cartoons, competitions, tasting Russian pancakes, they all help to learn Russian and have a lot of fun.
The Club is starting to prepare posters where the children will draw their 'portraits' and write their names, surnames and also some phrases, all in Russian.

From 10th to 17th of August delegation of Don Cossacks are coming to Glasgow.
In May 2016, delegation of Scots visited Rostov-on-Don in order to take part in Cossack national games "Shermitsii", which took place in the capital of Don Cossacks stanitsa Starocherkasskaya.

We are looking forward to the start of the new academic year 2016/17 and to welcoming all of our students, new and returning.
Our Russian and English language classes for adults will resume after the summer break on Monday 5th September at 11 Duke Street, G4 0UL.
