Dear parents and students! We are pleased to inform you that the RCS Haven Centre, and its Russian school, are starting another new academic year and our doors are open to everyone!

On June 15 we are holding our annual end of year festival to celebrate the 2018/19 academic year.   As in previous years, there will be a mini concert in which pupils from junior classes will perform.   All students will be given a certificate of completion in recognition of their commitment throughout this academic level.   We will also use this opportunity to congratulate all those that successfully completed the SQA Russian for Life and Work course, as well as a number of other competition winners.

On the 25th of May, the Russian School at RCS Haven are organising an annual picnic with active outdoor games for pupils and their parents in Pollok Country Park at 11am near the playground at the Burrell Collection.   While the kids are occupied with games, the parents can socialise, meet new people, chat with teachers, have a barbeque or take part in outdoor games with the kids.   We will be happy to see you all.

Tuition in the English language at RCS Haven is carried out by qualified teachers, who are native English speakers with special experience to teach adults.  

Greetings, and welcome to our bulletin full of information on exciting Russian events.  RCS Haven is welcoming anyone who is interested in studying Russian language, literature and culture. We have English and Russian language lessons. There are a library, Art studio for children and Science club. Also, the Centre provides consultations in law, finance and other aspects of work and business in Russia and Britain.     NEWS

Literature Lounge opens its doors again for everybody who is interested in Russian poetry and prose at RCS Haven’s Russian School (Adelphi Centre 12 Commercial Rd, Glasgow G5 0PQ) at 11:30 am. Russian Saturday school students will declaim poems written by S. Marshak, A. Pushkin and other famous Russian authors. This year international literary contest “Live Classics” participants will read prose of children’s writers as S. Chorny, I. Pivovarova and V.Zelesnyakov.

On February 21 the registration of summer exams for GCSE and GCE A level Russian will be closed. This year 12 students from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen will sit these exams. Teachers of the Russian school at RCS Haven will continue to provide assistance to teachers who would like to teach students for the Russian language exams in the EDEXCEL and SQA system. The registration for the SQA “Russian for life and work” will last until March 30.
